Howard Beach Bagel Cafe

Have had food from there delivered for lunch before. Usually is delivered earlier than asked - a pro or a con depending on if you are going to be eating your food at a specific time. I ordered online an egg sandwich, 2 bagels with spread, 2 drinks and a cookie - came to almost $65! The delivery fee was $20!! Got a text and a picture saying it was delivered, didn't see the picture on my watch so unfortunately when I looked, it was the wrong place. I called and told them it wasn't at my location - instead of just taking responsibility because it wasn't there, it became a back and forth for almost an hour. I lost my whole lunch period waiting for them to just say they would remake it (which was an option finally given to me with only 15 minutes of my lunch time left). I asked for a refund, but the boss didn't offer that and offered a credit for tomorrow. Finally I was told I could get a refund. I asked for confirmation that I'd get a refund, but nothing. Everything was "the delivery driver knows where he's going. I believe my driver. He definitely dropped it off." even though I have the proof that it was definitely delivered to the wrong place. I was hung up on and not given a call back, lost lunch time - and didn't eat - even though I asked for a call back and my number was taken. The situation could have gone much different for 3 sandwiches, but was dealt with completely backwards and technically still not solved. I've worked in food service before and have never treated someone this way.

Very nice bagel store. Expensive, but nice sized, tasty bagels. Large variety of snacks, drinks, bagels and types of cheese. Pastries and muffins as well. Very busy store with sufficient help to handle the crowd. Bagels always taste fresh and delicious. Do it yourself coffee station. Tables and chairs available, as well as a roomy, clean rest room. Large, free parking lot in the back. Metered street parking as well.

Highly disappointed! The worst everything bagel I ever had! It’s so sad because the menu claims it’s “freshly made” bagels everyday but that wasn’t the case here. The bagels were cold and stale. The everything bagel was so hard and salty! Overall, disgusting breakfast and so not worth the price of over $11! Never ordering pickup from here again! Save your time and money

This bagel shop is the worst in Howard beach. my company normally orders from them for all of our meetings and lunches however today they sent my order incorrectly and when I called them instead of rectifying the issue they said that they do not make grilled chicken sandwiches on pita bread which is a lie since that is the only sandwich I purchase from them when I order lunch for myself. The so called owner then got on the phone and was rude and condescending stating again they do not serve grilled chicken on pita as a sandwich and that it's not a Greek restaurant. When I said I will bring it back he said fine bring it back bye and immediately hung up. Not sure who this owner is but he has horrible management skills. I wish I could give no stars for this establishment
